Okay guys. ever since the renewed interest in the DC Hero movies (aside from batman...that's a given), word has been buzzing about a potential justice league movie. Personally, I want it to happen, but for something like it to work, it needs to be done like the Avengers did theirs.
They already have 2 parts done. 1 is the Green Lanturn movie. The other, is the upcoming 'Man Of Steel' Movie. That leaves with at least 4 more that need to be done. 3 of them are a bit obvious, and the 4th, not so much.
but what I want to know is, what is your opinion on what storyline in the JL movie should be, and who should play whom, (besides Superman and Green Lanturn), plus their movies
The three (imo, but is also logical) that should take priority, is a new batman movie, wonder woman movie, and Flash Movie. 4th movie....that's up for debate
Also, I know, they just wrapped the batman movies up. So unless they somehow manage to convince this franchise's to take up the role again, it's going to be rebooted.
Anyways, I want to see what everyone's opinion on this matter is. I'll put mine in soon enough.

Ok I can basically think of one way for DC to pull off a JLA movie and that is for them to only do introductory movies for the big 3 (possibly allowing for the Flash if the public reaction to them not doing one is big enough, remember he has kind of been removed from the founding fathers honor guard in recent years and then in a perfect world build to a 52 style story line where they do a superman movie, a batman movie and a wonder woman depicting them all disappearing from earth and then do a 52 style story which could introduce the public to more DC characters than just the heavy hitters. As much as I loved Green Lantern it just didn't have the following of Supes and Batman but putting JLA and the promise of finding out what happened to the 3 biggest names in the DC universe will put the butts in the seats for people like black Adam and Booster gold to blow their minds. That for me is the distinct difference in what DC and Marvel are doing movie wise, Marvel have never had any fear to put their big comic book names in movies, look at the list from the last 15 years alone, 2 different Hulk cannons, 4 spiderman movies (also including another reboot) Daredevil even got a semi sequel in Elektra not to mention Xmen is now basically swimming in the same waters as Star Trek for the amount of related movies confirmed to be connected to the one universe. DC have Batman, Superman pulled his socks up last time but come on Batman has been the one consistent Movie bank roll DC has and that's because the character seems naturally made for the screen. Every Marvel Movie connected to the Avengers project made sense and had a character with major star power already there in cartoons, single movies, TV shows, our entire lives not just when we picked up our first comic book. And you're right they would have to renew Batman, Nolan has disconnected his year one inspired trilogy from the universe DC want to set up to mirror marvel, I just hope they don't kill the company doing it. Also they could try and find a way to connect the Arrow series, it has been confirmed to be based in regular DC continuity and not the one created for smallville right? Also seeing as this is that kind of conversation I am just gunna drop in here that guardians of the galaxy is going to be incredible, that movie is going to be huge and apparently Thanos isn't going to be the bad guy in that either and with Ultron confirmed for the big bad in Avengers 2 it means Marvel are keeping the end game goal well in sight. And with them combining the X-men movies into 1 cannon that has to mean they will be crossing those characters over soon. I still think we could get an x-men member in AV2 but that might be wishful thinking to see jackman and Downey junior on screen, not to mention hulk and Wolvie doing the cannonball mutant toss. Getting chills thinking about it Nice topic Leon

No problem. Let's just hope the upcoming Batman/Superman movie doesn't BOMB...AKA....no Ben Affleck and his supposed ridiculous demands.
Who would you suggest to play Wonder Woman?

Yah know what, when it comes to affleck, I hated the idea that Christian Bale was gunna be Batman, I was an avid prayer that Depp would take the role as the Joker and holy by fuck I wanted to see a scarlette johanson cat woman, but all those things I was wrong about. If Nolan has truly become the Batman fan boy messiah he seems to be and has shown everyone else how you make a freakin batman movie then Affleck may end up not being the worst choice. A lot of people are basing that on the DD movie but come on DD was not big enough to be put on the big screen (going back to what I was saying earlier about marvel experimenting more). And when all is said and done, the dudes been on fire for the past 5 years, Didnt he win the best director oscar recently? Ha ha what is he demanding?
Wonder woman, alright with wonder woman I always thought Evangeline Lily from lost and if they make her an older character like Affleck's batman then I don't see any need for it to be anyone other than Angelina Jolie. Either way they need to bring in the guy who did the body work on the 300 movie and have him completely resculpt the torso. The reason Wonder Woman is so hard to do is Amazonian type women who can actually act and look like the classic wonder woman dont exist apparently, the actresses who played her before were never impressive enough to look at to get the point across. Although if you ever saw the 70's show Donna the red head from that could make a good candidate

maybe i agree on that bit on wonder woman. I heard rumors that Affleck was supposedly demanding that Gotham be changed to Boston (as in NAME)...which is unacceptable.
Maybe he will be an alright choice for batman, but I can think of others.
I think its safe to say that there is likely going to be a Teen Titans Movie before JL. and if that is the case...I really....really hope that if Deathstroke is the villain, that they cast Ron Perlman to play him.

Affleck must be out of his damn mind, are you sure that he isnt just trying to get them to film the Gotham scenes in Boston because that makes half a bit of sense, I
If they go for a teen titans movie what are the chances we could get Gordon Levitts as night wing running the team out of the old bat cave in batman image? Pearlman would be incredible actually and he is a proven comic book movie kinda guy with Hellboy (love those movies)and deathstroke is pretty much a garuntee for a TT movie he was the original mega villan for the strongest incarnation of the team, what they should do is take it in the Young Justice direction for
Although depending on if they actually merge the universes or not I could see Tom Hardy putting on the orange and black

that's all true dude. but there is another reason why I want perlman as deathstroke. Not only does he look the unmasked part, but he is the voice of Slade (who is deathstroke with a changed name to fit kid friendly program) from the GOOD Teen Titans series, and thus, the ony person who I can visualize as him.

I did not know that, I liked the original series that came about after batman beyonds slot opened up but to me Young justice was a great teen titans cartoon, cancelling it for the teen titans go thing was stupid, but I should also mention I loved the green lantern 3g cartoon they did. The one comic book part I would love to see the guy play is an older more evolved beast, his facial features just work

Agreed Young Justice was awesome.
Either way, it's time DC seriously steps up their live action films.

they will have on problem though, people are much more willing to point out rip offs in movies than in Comic books, they need to go in a different direction from Marvel or they will get slaughtered, to me its kinda like sega vs nintendo in the 90s and right now marvel is definitley nintendo

At least in terms of the live action movies. DC owns in the animated ones, and has all the way back since Mask of Phantasm. But of course, this isn't about them. That i'm sure, will be another thread.

Is it wrong, that after all the movies and knowledge i get about DC comic characters, I still don't care about their movies?

This is true but with Marvels Manga partnership that is changing slowly too in my opinion, but for pure Animated super heroey goodness DC still are walking it I gotta admit.
And yeah boss I agree with you on that, DC just don't have anything new to offer anymore it seems like, I mean superman and Batman is the most basic old crossover stories in Comic book history, not exactly ground breaking
Hold on are they doing 52 again? I yes then this is why DC have fallen so far in the past 10 years, its all rehashes of whats been done before, its like TNA still holding onto the belief that people want to see rehashes of what has worked before

I like a little bit of everything but my main issue is DC's superman, how can you have a character that iconic and god damn indestructible and then let those things become the characters biggest flaw is beyond me. But in my heart marvel is my comic book company, well that and 2000AD or judge dredd comics as you guys would probably know them

dude get an e reader and download them all online, thats what I do because Im the kind of person who has to read everything, I have the entire chronology of xmen from start to 2010 on my computer at the minute, I have seen full judge dredd megazine AND 2000AD comics and if you are a dread fan you need to read all the other stories his company puts out, like Anderson's on series is awesome
