culled from insider views and crew experiences:
That sort of question could be posed to many of the workers in ths exciting new company after all, Leon Roberts admits to smoking illegal narcotics on camera. Does he have a prescription? After his dominating performance on the first ever OverDrive: who cares?
Sigmund, meanwhile, has had two non-contracted men assault his opponent after his victory ... but the buzz he brings is undeniable, so who cares?
In fact nearly every star here, win or lose, has publicly discussed the impact they are going to make and they have made it. Except one man: Bel Biggz.
Bel Biggz is a twenty-one year veteran and has performed in dozens of companies, some more than once. While he has garnered a championship here or there, it is more notable that he is an admitted (and reportedly now clean) drug addict. Whether companies wanted it or not, he has aired his dirty laundry.
GWE must have been hungry for talent to consider signing him.
GWE possibly was bracing for a loud, aggressive man that they may have seen in tapes of him. They instead have received the exact opposite.
Rumor is that Bel Biggz met with the owners only once to discuss payment options. Nothing else was discussed. Bel sent brief letters asking for when he supposed to show up, where, and who he was booked against.
He then refused any official press time and sent in self-produced promo material that can only be described as weird, vague, and confusing.
At the show, he showed up twenty minutes to bell time. He had to be prompted by crew to go to his match and if it weren't for Leon's and DJ's interactions, he wouldn't have been ready. Shortly after his loss, Bel apathetically shrugged off any attempt to interview and left not even ten minutes after his match ended.
Before DJ Styles accepted the match against Hysteria, management made an effort to reach out to Bel once again.
Bel's only reply was "The hero would be me, but heroes often fail." and then hung up.
This week, has been much the same ... so people are starting to ask, with all of the amazing talent here ... why is GWE putting up with Bel Biggz?
